Going from Zentner to Weissman made an astronomically bigger difference in my playing--about 100 times more noticeable than going from Sankyo wing-lip to handmade Powell. So...thanks!! Lori: I've had a Weissman piccolo for 3 1/2 years now with no problems. I chose the satine headjoint to put on a regular grenadilla body. It is a fabulous piccolo with an incredibly sweet sound. The intonation is also great. If money is any concern, I would also recommend trying one of his resin piccolos. They are fabulous. They sound much better than a lot of wood piccolos. I love Weissman piccolos, and so does everyone who hears one. I have had a lot of people say they never liked the sound of a piccolo until they heard mine. Jeff Weissman is also great to deal with!
