Just want to thank you all for your expertise, help and all your time in helping me make the right decision. And most important, many thanks, Jeff, for making that extraordinary "house call" all the way to E. Islip on a Saturday night on your motor cycle to fix a minor but important adjustment. I still tell the story and my flute friends are in awe!!
Although I'm still getting used to the new instrument, I'm determined and I've decided you can teach an old dog new tricks!
Thank you so much for everything -- my best to all of you.
Eve Harrison: I'm am REALLY happy with my new Haynes flute. I love it!!!!! It is perfect!!!! Did you know, by the way, that our car wouldn't start when we tried to leave the other day??? It was so strange and random. Nick actually gave us a ride to the train. Anyway, thank you for taking good care of me, Nick for giving me two rides to the train, David for the adjustments and for helping me pick out my flute, and Jeff too! Talk to you soon!
Jeff Zagarello: Once again JBW flutes have thrilled my daughter. She is absolutely in love with the Haynes and you have again impressed me with your “helping her out” by letting Crystal try it out (for a graciously extended time again).
Thanks once again for being the company and the people you and your company continue to be…
Jessica Sasek:
I came for a private appointment last fall to look at flutes. I was looking at purchasing a murumatsu at the time, but had not as of yet. I know you probably don't remember me, but I just wanted to thank you so much for all of the time and kindness you spent on me helping me find the right flute. Although I did not purchase from you all, I am deeply indebted to you. My search ended, though, when I was given a beautiful Haynes flute once owned by the St. Louis Symphony flautist and therefore do not need to purchase one. Thank you so much again for you help!!
Julie Bailey: (To Haynes Flutes) Megan was excited to think she could have one of the first 2008 Gold Haynes. She loves this flute and practices even more than before. When she finished practicing last night she said, "Okay, now I know what it feels like to be in love!". She is 16, a junior in high school with plans of pursuing music in college. We have an older daughter at a conservatory, so we know the competition is tough....especially for a flautist! We knew this was the time to purchase a flute in order for her to adjust and audition next year. (Although Megan is amazed at how this flute responds in comparison to her older Haynes!) You actually spoke with my husband a few weeks ago regarding a gold flute for Megan! We were trying to make time in our schedule to come to Boston ! Last week we realized our Saturday was free when a rehearsal was cancelled, so we called Jeff Weisman's and they were able to get us in for an appointment. They are wonderful people!! David worked with Megan for hours-he was incredible. I cannot say enough about them. (This was our second trip to them!)
Lauren Erickson: I'm so excited, I've bought a beautiful Haynes 14k! Jeff is taking it with him to "get it ready" and he said I should receive it by Friday (so quick!). Our visit was wonderful and Jeff shows real passion for his business. He knows his stuff!! I am so thrilled the arrangement worked out as I could never have done this without his gracious offer for a private showing. We had a fun discussion at the end of the day about Keith and I coming to N.Y. (w/out kids in tow, just the two of us!) and Jeff showing us around. I know I would have a blast seeing his company and meeting all the employees. Even my engineering husband became curious and interested as Jeff talked about the dynamics of the flute.
I'll stay in touch and eventually send some pictures of Jeff's visit here.
Lynn Peck: Thank you so much for the beautiful new Haynes flute. I love it! It is so much easier to play in tune and blend with Marisa and other players. It has such a beautiful tone quality with lots of colors for me to explore. HURRAY! I really enjoyed playing it in the Orchestra concerts this past weekend.
Thank you David, for all your time and efforts with picking the best flute for me. I really appreciate all your help.
Meredith Vrobel: First of all want to thank you for your attention to every detail concerning my interest in a Haynes Classic flute. It is apparent at JB Weissman that customer service is of the highest caliber. Unfortunately not the norm in this era so very refreshing and greatly appreciated. Leila you indeed fit right in with this fine company!
In closing thanks again for all you help, patience, and personal advice especially the terrific tip about the gold riser! I will highly recommend JB Weissman to anyone in the flute market.
Rhea: Thank you so much for the patient and professional time you gave me! I am extremely happy with my choiceespecially because I know for certain that the Haynes was the perfect one for me. You allowed me to explore the comparison of many choices, definitely contributing to the value of my experience with your repeated “listening tests.” Somehow, also, you helped me feel completely at home, and this allowed me to play my best. It was a pleasure meeting you and taking the flute tour. To see and touch all of the exquisite piccolo headjoints and to have the opportunity to learn so much was quite a thrill. But again, the thing you provided for me which was so appreciated was the attitude you gave me while listening to all those flutes. I felt complete and certain confidence that you were giving me your undivided attentionas well as your honest opinion. Thank you so much for everything.
Takeo Hayano: On behalf of Ms. Eiko Watanabe, I am writing this to say that we have received the necessary information regarding the Haynes flute that she purchased at your place on November 4th. We are also thankful to your hospitality that we enjoyed during the visit.
Ms. Watanabe likes the flute very much and will cherish it for many years to come.
Yutaka Ito: I wish to express my sincere thanks for your support and advice on my purchase of a Haynes flute. Without both of you, I do not think I was able to find this good solution.
Now I came back to Tokyo with a nice music stand (which surprised the security inspectors at JFK, but with no problem), and I am already enjoying the sound from the new flute, on which I found that "Weissman model" was proudly engraved!!
